25 Must-Try Park City Culinary Experiences

Fried Chicken Sando at Lola’s Street Kitchen
24 E Main St, Midway, 435-671-3970
Though the charming Lola’s Street Kitchen is a fast-casual eatery, menu items including fresh Angus beef burgers and super-flavorful grain bowls definitively fall into the “slow” food category, i.e., made from scratch and on the premises. As such, you’ll regularly find out-the-door lines, mostly due to their fried chicken sando: a buttermilk-battered, perfectly fried organic chicken breast served on a baked-daily potato roll with a side of hand-cut fries and fry sauce. —MF

Lobster Roll at Freshie’s
1897 Prospector Ave, 435-631-9861
For the top lobster roll west of the Mississippi, sink your teeth into Freshie’s classic sandwich, named one of the best lobster rolls in America by BuzzFeed. Chunks of fresh lobster, flown in fresh daily from Maine, are served on a toasted New England-style hot dog bun with mayo, hot butter, and seasoning, plus a wedge of lemon and a pile of kettle-cooked potato chips. —TW
Ice Cream at Java Cow
402 Main St, 435-647-7711
Nothing screams summer like strolling down Main Street while licking an ice cream cone from Java Cow. This all-natural frozen treat is handmade on-site, and ranges from traditional flavors to fruity seasonal specials; coconut-based vegan ice cream is also available. Little ones will love getting a scoop (or two) in a waffle cone rolled in sprinkles or fruity pebbles. —TW

Patio Dining at Cafe Terigo
424 Main St, 435-645-9555
Among the few Park City constants is Cafe Terigo. For more than 35 years, owner and chef Ed Axtell has been serving up deliciously consistent French-inspired dishes that have built an unwavering following of locals and visitors. Nothing feels quite as summery as sitting out on the sun-dappled patio enjoying what we submit is one of Park City’s best dishes: Axtell’s perfectly pan-seared scallops, served over a bed of fresh-from-the-garden spring pea risotto. —MF

Copper Moose Farmstand
While farmers markets dot the landscape throughout Summit and Wasatch Counties, Copper Moose Farmstand is a stellar local resource for organically and biodynamically grown veggies and flowers, a diverse selection of locally made canned and baked items, and events ranging from pop-up lunches to farm-to-table dinners. The farmstand is located on the unpaved pathway just north of Willow Creek Dog Park and is open Tuesday and Thursday, noon–6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. When you go, do the earth a favor and ride your bike. —MF

Normal Ice Cream Barsat Handle
136 Heber Ave, 435-602-1155
Go to Handle for the fantastic food—standouts include the mushroom Bolognese and the cauliflower with sweet chili glaze and sriracha vinaigrette—but stay for the divine desserts, including specialty ice cream bars by local favorite Normal Ice Cream. Try the Handle Bar, made with Normal maple ice cream, dipped in milk chocolate, and sprinkled with brown butter crumbles, or the Lil’ Shortie Bar, made with Normal strawberry ice cream and coated with a strawberry shortbread dip. —TW
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie at Stacked
1890 Bonanza Dr, 435-214-7052
Last year, the Big Apple deli tradition finally alighted in Park City with Stacked Sandwich Deli. All meats for Stacked’s sandos, like the popular Reuben-Awitzsteinberg and the Philly, are cured or roasted in-house. But we advise saving half of whatever sandwich you chose for later so you have room for one of this sandwich shop’s homemade oatmeal raisin cookies, which are as good—or likely better—than your grandmother’s. —MF

Old Town Cellars Townie Rosé
408 Main St, 435-649-3759
What should you pour on repeat this summer? Look no further than Old Town Cellars Townie Rosé. This refreshing, not-too-sweet blend is light enough to quaff during the day yet easily stands up to classic summertime back patio fare like fried chicken, barbecue ribs, or grilled salmon. Best yet: Old Town Cellars’ Main Street bottle shop is open on Sundays. —MF
Red Bicycle Breadworks
1500 Snow Creek Dr, 435-645-7139
Elevate your picnic sandwiches with hearty, handmade loaves from Red Bicycle Breadworks, available at The Market at Park City. Grab a loaf of Park City Sourdough for BLTs or Sprouted Quinoa Honey Wheat for PB&Js. A limited number of loaves are baked fresh daily, so shop early for first dibs. —TS

The 7880 Club’s Open Terrace
6702 Stein Cir, 435-940-6602
Nestled in the mountains of Deer Valley, the 7880 Club at Stein Eriksen Residences is one of the best-kept secrets in town. The views across the valley are stunning thanks to the open terrace. Whether you go for lunch with friends or for date night, the club offers an intimate dining experience. The menu changes seasonally, but popular items include elk carpaccio, ahi tuna toast, and Utah lamb chops. —ID

The Pool House at Pendry Park City
2417 W High Mountain Rd, 435-800-1992
Grab a seat at the outdoor bar at Pendry Park City’s Pool House, the only rooftop lounge in Canyons Village, for sunset views in a swanky poolside setting. Enjoy the scenery and the scene with a specialty cocktail in hand, such as the refreshing Canyons Spritzer, made with Aperol, grapefruit, St. Germain, Fever Tree soda, and cava, or the Smoke & Spice, made with Wahaka mezcal, pineapple, lime juice, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, and Tajin. —TW

SmokeWood at The Lodge at Blue Sky
This summer, the Lodge at Blue Sky hosts a barbecue pop-up for SmokeWood, a mobile food trailer by Park City local David Williams, available Friday nights from June 14 through August 30, and on the Fourth of July. Williams, a Lone Star State native and former lawyer turned pitmaster, will be cooking up a rotating menu of Texas-style craft barbecue and traditional Tex-Mex cuisine paired with homemade lemonade, High West whiskey cocktails, margaritas, and more from Yuta, The Lodge at Blue Sky’s signature restaurant. Open to hotel guests and locals.

Hotcake at Five5eeds
1600 Snow Creek Dr, 435-901-8242
This isn’t your average pancake—the thick hotcake at Five5eeds is a work of edible art, topped with fresh mixed berries and citrus mascarpone, and then sprinkled with nuts and seeds. The dish is as beautiful as it is hearty, providing enough post-brunch fuel for a long day of exploring in the mountains. —TW

Beer Flight at Park City Brewing
1764 Uinta Way, 435-200-8352
Post up on the patio at Park City Brewing on a sunny day and savor a $9 flight of their signature beers: Siren’s Call American lager, Sneaker Tree IPA, Silver Creekwater amber lager, Powder Buoy pilsner, and Gold Town pale ale. —TW

Smoothies at Atticus
738 Main St, 435-214-7241
There’s no shortage of tea, coffee, and espresso drinks on the menu at Atticus, but if you want a morning or midday pick-me-up minus the caffeine, try one of their smoothies. Our favorite: Honey Bee Protein, made with peanut butter, banana, soy milk, honey, and topped with a sprinkle of bee pollen. —TW
