Happenings: 9th & 9th Shop, Truck & Stroll This Thursday
WHAT: Take a break from wedding planning this week, and head to Salt Lake City's 9th & 9th 'hood with your honey for an early fall evening of after-hours shopping and food-truck noshing.
Meander through the three-block radius and check out some of the city's best local boutiques: Shop women's fashion and finery at Koo De Ker, Katie Waltman Jewelry, Apt. 202, and Fresh (which also has a curated collection of dapper men's duds, accessories, and shoes). Pick up an artful orchid or potted succulent at Orchid Dynasty; stock up on colorful, kitschy, and charming housewares at Hip & Humble; peruse books, toys, and threads for wee ones at The Children's Hour; and test out top-of-the-line two-wheelers at the new, bigger Contender Bicycles (did someone say, "groom's gift?").
With all that shopping, you're sure to work up an appetite: Mosey up to the window of your favorite 801 food truck--Chow Truck, Submarino's, Off the Grid, Lewis Bros, and Hayat's Grill will all be parked at the event--and order a bite to eat al sidewalk.
WHERE: 9th & 9th Neighborhood (900 South between 1100 East and 800 East in SLC)
WHEN: This Thursday, September 26 from 5-8 p.m.
