This winter has been a big one for Joe, Francy, and Michael Royer. It marks the 40th anniversary of the Royers's Nevada helicopter skiing outfit, Ruby Mountains Heli-Experience. And in January they opened Ruby 360, a 10,000-square-foot lodge overlooking the Great Basin where they now host guests who come from around the world to ski with them and their seasoned guide staff every winter. The swanky new lodge features 10 spacious guest rooms (each with its own bathroom); a high-end chef's kitchen where Francy Royer and her staff create three meals (and then some) a day--fare that's almost as legendary as the Rubies' martini dry powder; and a plush great room and fully-stocked bar where guests can relax and recount each day's adventures.
