Utah Mountain Adventures
Based in the Wasatch Range near Salt Lake and Park City since 1993, Utah Mountain Adventures (UMA) is the premier full-spectrum, year-round guide service in Utah. Programs include backcountry skiing, split-snowboarding, rock climbing, ice climbing, avalanche instruction, summer and winter mountaineering, trekking (hiking and snowshoeing) and canyoneering skills. UMA’s incredible roster of guides and instructors (including many who are AMGA certified) maximizes the knowledge and experience gained by guests. Led by Julie Faure and Tyson Bradley, UMA (formerly Exum Utah Mountain Adventures) operates under a permit issued by the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
The Wasatch Mountains offer world-class skiing and climbing terrain within just 30 minutes of Salt Lake International Airport. Easy access, consistent powder snow and high-quality Ice, Peaks, Granite, Quartzite, and Limestone, make UMA the place for fun, adventure, training, and alpine skills development.
Whether you seek fresh powder or corn tracks; ice axe, crampon, or winter camping skills; crack-climbing, sport, or natural-pro leading techniques; route-finding, beacon rescue and snow-pit skills; film work guidance; team-building; alpine summits; ridge traverses; or wilderness leadership; UMA is the guide service of choice in the Mountain West.
