Auntie Em’s

Emily Burney is living the dream—literally. The founder of Auntie Em’s always dreamed of owning a bakery, making people happy, and doing so in a quaint mountain town. Since 2014, Burney has satisfied customers with exceptional baked goodies that bring comfort, joy, and a touch of nostalgia. Known for her perfectly flaky pie crusts, ripe seasonal fruits, and soft, buttery cookies, every treat is crafted with care and served with a welcoming smile that reflects Burney’s passion for her craft.   —Aimee L. The Bake Shop

John and Paige Courtney, husband-and-wife business partners, joined forces with three-time Olympian skier Devin Logan to open The Bake Shop. The bakery and café offers a wide array of baked goods, including banana bread, baguettes, brioche, sourdough English muffins and pita, croissants, pain au chocolat, kouign-amann, and cookies, plus ice cream, housemade salads, sandwiches, and coffee. —Anne Wallentine

Hawk & Sparrow

Hawk & Sparrow

Bread lovers, rejoice! Andrew Berthrong of Hawk & Sparrow now has a brick-and-mortar location in Heber where you can get your hands on his fresh-baked sourdough. Berthrong’s organic, artisanal loaves feature perfectly crisp crusts and chewy interiors. His country sourdough is made with local Central Milling flour and Redmond Real Salt, and it’s naturally fermented to create that signature tangy flavor. Bread subscriptions are available for pickup every week or every other week, with pickup on Wednesdays. You can also find Hawk & Sparrow bread at Midway Mercantile and Hidden Peaks Provisions.  —Aimee L. Cook

Park City Desserts

This Main Street establishment touts its organic, gluten-free, vegan, raw, keto, and paleo options.

Red Bicycle Breadworks

If you have lived in Park City for any length of time, you’ve likely heard of Brent Whitford’s Red Bicycle bread. Local favorite Stick Bread—a.k.a. crack bread—is made with olive oil and sea salt. The bread is delicious on its own, but it pairs well with both butter and deli meat, making it perfect for picnic sandwiches. The bread is available daily at The Market at Park City (if you can snag a loaf before it sells out) and at The Market at Midway (Stick Bread and sourdough only). —Aimee L. Cook

Süss Cookies

Midway-based Süss (pronounced “Suess”) delivers cookies that are straight-up bliss. Each bite feels like a warm hug, whether you’re indulging in the best-selling Cocamel cookies (a soft shortbread cookie drizzled with chocolate, caramel, and coconut with a chocolate bottom), cinnamon-sugar snickerdoodles, classic chocolate chip, or custom-frosted sugar cookies. Keep an eye out for new “cookie of the month” flavors. Individually wrapped to ensure freshness, they’re an ideal treat for parties or an anytime pick-me-up.  Aimee L. Cook

Windy Ridge Bakery

Part of the Bill White restaurant group, Windy Ridge is a classic full-service bakery with something for everyone. Their quiches, croissants, tarts, and cheesecakes provide great savory as well as sweet options. —Anne Wallentine
