They may not have camped out for first chair, but there were still plenty of excited skiers who took to the slopes of Deer Valley for the resorts opening day. A good snowstorm is needed to open more terrain, but skiers still had a few runs to get their turns in and killer views off of Bald Mountain. Visitors to the resort also had the chance to test their skills on the race course against Deer Valley’s residents athletes, including Heidi Voelker, Shannon Bahrke, Kris “Fuzz” Feddersen, Kaylin Richardson, Jillian Vogtli , Trace Worthington and Chris Waddell.

For both Saturday and Sunday of the resort’s opening weekend, visitors can also enjoy complimentary cookies and warm drinks at the Race Hill and on Snow Park Plaza from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The resort also invites everyone to cool off at the end of the the day with après food and drink specials at the EBS Lounge at Snow Park Lodge.

Now everyone, go play and pray for more snow!
