Park Silly will be held every Sunday this summer from June 4 - Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Live music, great food, a colorful atmosphere, and people perusing booths will once again be the scene on Main Street every Sunday this summer during the Park Silly Sunday Market. This year, the market celebrates its eleventh season on Main Street and organizers are as committed as ever to providing a unique, environmentally conscious, and fun event each and every Sunday. Following a few of the highlights for the upcoming season.

With almost 700 vendors in rotation this summer, selling almost every craft good imaginable, visitors can always expect to find something new and surprising. "This is the most vendors we've ever had to juggle," says Park Silly Sunday Market Executive Director Kate McChesney. "It's all part of our effort to keep the market unique every week. We want each vendor to have the opportunity to be part of Silly and to help their businesses grow." To date, Park Silly has served as an incubator for more than 180 businesses, including Sammy's Bistro, Skewered Thai, and Red Bicycle Breadworks. Look out for new vendors like Unscene Poutine and Park City Pita, both run by local couples trying their hand at serving food at Park Silly and new youth vendors selling coffee, dog toys, and wood carved pens.

The Bloody Mary bar is always a popular draw in the Park Swilly bar area.

Pop in for a drink in the Swilly Garden bar area and have a CoronaRita or the new Paloma Cocktail, featuring tequila from Cazadores, a recently added event sponsor. Or perhaps you'll go for the long standing tradition of downing a Bloody Mary at the market. This year Park Silly has partnered with Salt Lake based Boneyard Bloody Mary to bring even more delicious Bloody Marys to the bar.

This year's line-up of music and buskers (booked since January) includes several local bands and even a few kids. If you were at the market last Sunday, you may have already jammed out to the bucket beats of rising star and 10-year-old Phin Hailey, who will be making regular appearances during the summer. You can see the full music schedule on Mountain Town Music's website

Since day one, Park Silly has strived to be a zero waste market. Last year, the market hosted 198,000 people over the course of the summer and sent only 11 percent of the trash generated by the market to the landfill (recycling is the largest expense for the market). You can help Park Silly organizers accomplish their goals this year by biking, busing, or walking to the market and bringing a re-usable water bottle to fill at their free water stations. A free express shuttle service from Park City High School will be offered on market days as well as the regular city bus and the city is debuting the first public e-bike share program in Utah, making it easier than ever to use alternative transport. Finally, Park Silly is also in talks with the Park City council to get permits for using bike rickshaws to further alleviate parking and traffic problems around Main Street.

Keep it silly Park City!
