This Friday the 13th proved lucky for local media, who bumped upward into the skies above Park Meadows Golf Course and got a bird's-eye preview of Autumn Aloft's fleet of hot air balloons. Over the weekend (weather permitting), two dozen pilots will fill the skies with color. Here's how locals and visitors can soak in the fun:

Saturday, September 14

Main Launch

Approximately 8 a.m.

Mosey over to the North 40 Fields, at the base of the PC Hill and behind Treasure Mountain Middle School, to be dazzled by a technicolor array of balloons of all shapes and stripes— and camo and owl shapes... Tethered rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Candlestick

8:00 p.m.

Gather in Old Town for a lit evening as balloon pilots choreograph a visual display with balloon burners atop a dozen baskets lining Main Street.

Sunday, September 15

Main Launch

Approximately 8 a.m.

Again, head to the North 40 Fields, at the base of the PC Hill and behind Treasure Mountain Middle School, for the vibrant lift-off.
