From expertly strummed guitars and photo booth shenanigans to onion tarts and toasted pocket sandwiches to java and Bloody Marys to giant Jenga and cornhole, Brunch at Altitude proved to be a delicious testament to a vibrant community.

 Congrats!

Kudos to Crystal Daniels of Waterpocket Distillery, who won the tight race for best Bloody Mary— within four measly points of competitors, Marcus “Yeti” Mair (representing The Cabin) and Kourtney Tourigny (representing the Eating Establishment).

Appreciation

Heartfelt thanks to all of the delicious culinary participants, who created prize-worthy bites (and beverages) for all: Hugo Coffee Roasters, Montage Deer Valley, The Bridge Café and Grill, Breakfast at Dana’s, Courchevel a Talisker Club Bistro, Crystal Park Cantina, Fuego Bistro and Pizzeria, Jafflz, Mindful Cuisine, Wasatch Bagel and Grill, The Eating Establishment, Waterpocket Distillery, and Red Rock Brewing Company; and brunch sponsors: St. John’s Property Management, Big Photo Booth, Summit Watch Plaza, Park City Farmers Market, and Dented Brick Distilling. And a standing ovation to our gifted musicians: Brooke Macintosh, John Sherrill, and Mel Soul. Finally, we tip our caps to volunteers and judges: Darby Doyle, food and drink writer, Jim Santangelo, sommelier and educator of The Wine Academy of Utah, Shawn Armstrong of Montage, Sally Tauber of Peace House.

 Warm fuzzy takeaway

A day of eating, drinking, and stepping up to the silent auction translated into funds raised for Peace House. Here’s to this incredible nonprofit’s efforts to support survivors of domestic abuse.

Cheers, Park City!
