Looking for fun ways to celebrate fall's (somewhat abrupt) return with family and friends? This weekend, the Kimball Art Center is hosting a free Celebration of the Arts at the beautiful Red Cliff Ranch in Heber City. On Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. you can get in touch with your inner Picasso with art projects or get your cowboy on with a lasso lesson and pony rides for the kids. Musical entertainment will be provided on the patio by numerous performers, including Sister, Sister, Mary Beth MaziarzThe Naked WaitersChris Orrock and The LazlosJagertownRed Rock Rondo Trio and Cold Creek Bluegrass Band
The weekend is also an excellent chance to pick up a new painting for the wall of your ski chalet or maybe a handmade bracelet because the work of several artists will be on display and for sale.  Featured artists include Alli Badell, Ron Butkovich, Erin Berrett, John Collins, Heidi Darley, Sandra Ence, Lucia Heffernan, Lisa Howa, Sarinda Jones/Reflective Art Studio, Susan N. Jarvis Fine Art, Kami Kahler, Jeanne LaRae Fine ArtMark Maziarz, Jan Massimino, Stacy Phillips, Asia Raine Designs, David Riley, Darla Roberts, Susan Slewing, Douglas Smith, Stephanie Saint-Thomas, TODDSON, Jimmi Toro and Noelle Shar. 
Sunday promises to be the more mellow to the two-day celebration, when from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. you have a chance to purchase art and enjoy live music from Shane Jackson. Don't worry about bringing a snack along, you can grab a plate from Lori Tolbet Catering or load up on meaty goodness from R&R BBQ.
