No nudity, full face masks, fire, or animals, but as long as your costume fits inside the gondola, pretty much anything goes at the Annual Pond Skimming Contest at Park City Mountain Resort. The contest is this Saturday, April 7th at 12 p.m. outside the Red Pine Lodge (a lift ticket is required to take the Red Pine Gondola) and although registration to compete is officially closed, there's room for everyone to come out and cheer at Park City's most popular party. 

The event kicks off the final week of our epic ski season and you won't want to miss it. Watch contestants attempt to skim the 100-foot pond on their skis or snowboard while listening to DJ Velvet drop beats. Five judges will award prizes for best costume, best splash and crash, and best overall male and female:

• Best Overall Male/Female: $100 VRR gift card, Bud Light Trophy
• Best Costume: $250 Helly Gift Card, $50 VRR gift card, Bud Light Trophy
• Best Splash & Crash: $50 VRR Gift card
• Made it across the pond: Entered into drawing for Epic Pass

Once the competition is over, don't forget to pop down to the base for the free concert at Canyons Village as Spring Grüv 2018 continues. Things are going to get funky!
