It's like a scene from a fairy tale: frozen waterfalls, fountains, and ice caves that magically light up at night. Made up of hundreds of thousands of icicles, the ice castles are one of the most unique attractions in Utah and, really, the world. This year, the Midway ice castles relocated from Soldier Hollow to Homestead Drive to take advantage of city water, which makes the ice turn blue, only adding to the previous mystique. The best part about the display is that it's interactive, giving guests the opportunity to wind through tunnels, get lost in the jagged mazes, or take a run down this amazing attraction's newest edition: a two-lane ice slide. 

Special Events at the Ice Castles

A fireworks show lights up the Ice Castles on New Year's Eve starting at 10 p.m. 

Fans of Disney's Frozen have the opportunity to meet the princesses from the movie on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Friday between 5 and 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 2 to 8 p.m. 

Finally, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., guests can catch a high-energy fire performance before entering the ice castles. 

Ticket Prices & Times

Hours are 3 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturdays (closed Sundays). General admission for ages 12 and up is $9.95, Monday through Thursday, and $12.95 Friday and Saturday. Tickets for kids ages 4 to 11 are $6.95 Monday through Thursday, and $8.95 Friday and Saturday.
