5 Ways to Cross Country Ski in Park City

Don't feel like sliding down a mountain? Here are your best options for cross country in Park City.

Whether you’re a classic-skiing buff or want to try skate skiing, the options for cross country skiing are ample in and around Park City.

Jeremy Ranch Nordic Center (8770 Jeremy Rd, 435.649.2700) 

With a track designed by US Olympic Nordic Combined Gold Medalist Billy Demong, this private golf and country club becomes a cross country skiing  playground in the winter. Day lockers, day passes, and rental skis available.

Mountain Dell 

The Utah Nordic Alliance maintains 10K of skate and classic ski tracks at the Mountain Dell Golf Course in Parleys Canyon. Purchase a day pass at the parking lot pay station. Dogs are not allowed.    

Mountain Trails Foundation

Staff from the Mountain Trails Foundation groom miles and miles of track on Park City’s extensive trails system—the most popular of which is the dog-friendly Round Valley area—free of charge. The foundation also maintains an area trail conditions database on its website that includes both free and paid-access areas.

Soldier Hollow Nordic Center (2002 Soldier Hollow Lane, Midway, 435.654.2002)

Ski in the tracks of former, current, and future Olympians on more than 31K of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiers. Amenities include equipment rentals, instruction, a biathlon experience, snowshoeing, and a spacious day lodge.

White Pine Touring Nordic Center (1541 Thaynes Canyon Dr, 435.649.6249)

This popular ski area features beginner through advanced terrain on over 20 kilometers of groomed track. The facility offers heated underground parking, equipment rentals, and instruction.
