Grammy Award-winning songwriter, Liz Rose was born and raised in Texas. In the mid-1990s, she moved to Nashville and began writing songs at the age of 37. Rose was a frequent collaborator of Taylor Swift’s, having co-written 16 songs together, including the #1 hits Teardrops on My Guitar, You Belong With Me, and White Horse. She has also penned songs for artists including Tim McGraw, Dan and Shay, Allison Krauss, Blake Shelton and more. In 2015, she won Song Of The Year at the CMA awards and the Grammy for Best Country Song for writing Girl Crush by Little Big Town. Liz is not only a songwriter, but also a successful publisher. Her company, Liz Rose Music, has built a diverse and talented roster of songwriters and has acquired four #1 hits.
Phil Barton moved to Nashville ten years ago from Sydney Australia and currently writes for Liz Rose Music/Warner Chappell. His songs have been recorded by country music superstars Lee Brice, Sara Evans, David Nail, Eli Young Band, Cassadee Pope, and more. He had his first #1 hit with Lee Brice’s A Woman Like You, which went double platinum in the US and won him an NSAI Award for One Of The Ten Songs I Wish I’d Written. His music also appeared in Oscar Nominated film Sicario, TV show Nashville, and The Sims video game. Before moving to the USA, Barton was a member of the two-time ARIA nominated children’s band The Flower Pot Gang. Over his career, he has had over 800 songs recorded on country, pop, and children’s records worldwide.
Montana was first inspired to pick up a guitar as a teenager in rural upstate New York by his musician father, and soon after, formed a country/rock band with his brother. After graduating with a degree in agriculture from Cornell, Montana decided to try music full time and traded his dream of becoming a farmer for a record deal on Warner Brothers. Many prominent artists have recorded Montana’s songs, including Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, Trace Adkin, Kellie Pickler, and more. Montana has achieved four #1 country records: Lee Brice’s Hard To Love, Garth Brooks’ More Than A Memory, Sara Evans’ Suds In The Bucket, and Jo Dee Messina’s Bring On The Rain. His song What If I Was Willing was featured on several episodes of the popular television series Nashville.
