Park City Film screening: "The Farewell"

 Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday at 6 p.m. @ the Park City Library

A Sundance favorite, "The Farewell" tells the funny, poignant tale of a Chinese family who decide to schedule an impromptu wedding for their beloved grandmother before she passes. Standout performance from Awkwafina. General Admission $8; Students and Seniors $7.

Max Weinberg’s Jukebox

Friday–Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday at 6 p.m. @ The Egyptian Theatre

Get ready to party with the drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Max and his four-piece band arrive ready to perform over 200 rock and roll classics, chosen in real time by the audience.

Park City Museum 

Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.; Sunday, noon–6 @ Park City Museum

Explore Park City’s rich mining history through interactive and educational exhibits that take you into a mine shaft and old-time jail. Children can complete a “Park City History Detectives” activity, digging deeper into the past.

Nashville Unplugged

Sidle up for an intimate evening of songwriters in the round, hosted by Aaron Benward and featuring Jesse Lee and Tim James.

Groove along to the guitar-driven harmonies of the local trio. No cover charge. Ages 21+ with valid ID required.

It's time to break Breckenridge's record! The Shot Ski returns to Main Street this Saturday.

Saturday, October 12

Saturday Morning Nature Walk

8:30–10 a.m. @ Swaner EcoCenter

Discover the Swaner Preserve with a guided nature tour, navigating the wetlands while learning about the diverse plant and animal species found in its grasses and waters.  Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of birds, elk, and perhaps a nesting sandhill crane.  $10 per person, $5 locals, free for Swaner members.

Park City Sunrise Rotary’s 4th Annual Shot Ski

Registration begins at 12 p.m. Shot at 2 p.m. sharp @ Main St. Park City

Raise your glasses for Park City’s 4th annual Shot Ski, hosted by Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery. This year, the event invites 1,310 shot-takers to line Main Street in a quest to break Breckenridge’s record set in January 2019 (1,299 participants and 450 skis set end to end). In 2018, Park City set the bar at 484 skis end-to-end, serving a total of  1,275 people. It's time to Breck's new record! $25 General Admission includes participation and one shot of High West Whiskey, and 1 High West drink token for redemption at participating Shot Ski After Parties.

1–5 p.m. @ Kimball Art Center

Celebrate the season with the Kimball Art Center’s ARToberFest, a fall-inspired, family friendly, art-filled event. Free activities include ceramics demos, collaborative sculpture, autumn-themed printmaking and collage, live music by Ecker Hill String Band, and scheduled tours of the exhibition “Jim Jacobs: The Imperfections that Render Us Visible.” A few activities require a $2 fee, such as pumpkin painting, fall sun catchers, and
prize games.

Park City Film presents: Foreign Film for Kids

4 p.m. @ the Park City Library

Park City Film and the Park City Library present October's screening of Foreign Cinema for Kids: 'Para Picar: Historias Cortas en Español' (Shorts Program in Spanish.) These short animated and live-action films from Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Spain, and Puerto Rico present a world of boys and girls who aren’t afraid to take chances and reach out to new friends. Films recommended for ages 8 and up, and will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles. Free.

Swaner’s Craft Sunday

11 a.m.–1 p.m. @  Swaner EcoCenter

Indulge your crafty kids with a nature-themed craft at the EcoCenter. All ages are welcome.
