Summit County Fair

Friday, August 9, 8 a.m.–12 p.m. and Saturday, August 10, 7 a.m.–8 p.m.@ Summit County Fairgrounds, Coalville

Enjoy poultry and livestock exhibits, country cooking, pageantry and carnival fun at the last weekend of the Summit Country Fair. Friday highlights include a pie baking contest, dance competitions, live music, rodeo and teen dance; while Saturday offers an early-bird breakfast, family bike-run-walk event, parade, live music and rodeo.

19th Annual Intermountain Mustang & All Ford Stampede Car Show

5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, August 9–10 @ The Homestead Resort, Midway

Car aficionados giddyup for a gathering open to all Mustangs and classic Ford powered vehicles. Car registration fee: $35 for non-members, $15 each additional.

Janis Ian & Livingston Taylor

Friday–Saturday, 8 p.m; Sunday at 6 p.m. @ The Egyptian Theatre

Talented headliners Ian and Taylor perform back-to-back sets and a few songs together for a memorable evening.

Flying Ace All-Stars Aerial Show

1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays @ The Utah Olympic Park

Prepare to be amazed by the gravity defying stunts of the Flying Ace All-Stars, a half-hour choreographed spectacle featuring Olympians, National Team members, and rising stars as this coordinated collaboration of athletes take flight on skis and snowboards.

Indoor Climbing Wall

Saturday and Sunday, 1-3 p.m. @ Swaner EcoCenter

Kids of all ages can find fun at Swaner EcoCenter’s indoor climbing wall—and a host of eco-friendly exhibits to peruse when they need a breather. Harnesses supplied; please wear shoes with covered toes. Free for members; Fee for non-members.

Summit Yoga Series

9 a.m.–10 a.m. @ Montage Deer Valley

Settle in for complimentary yoga and guided meditation on the Montage lawn. All levels welcome, with yoga mats provided. Space is limited, reservations necessary to attend.  In the event of rain, yoga will be cancelled.  To RSVP, call (435) 604-1400 or visit

Barn and Farmhouse Tours

4–6:30 p.m. @ McPolin Farm, Hwy 224

Learn about homesteading, dairy farming, and life in early Park City while walking on an educational tour of the McPolin Barn and farmhouse. Free shuttle service from the PCMARC at 3:30 and 5 p.m. as there is no parking at the farm.  No dogs allowed.  Tickets are $5 per person and tours are approximately one hour. Children welcome, although tours are tailored for adults. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Purchase tickets online or at the PCMARC. 

The Music of the Rolling Stones: Circa 1969 with the Utah Symphony

7:30 p.m. @ Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater

Rock out at a multi-media celebration of the 50th Anniversary of two classic Stones albums—Beggars Banquet and Let it Bleed with the Utah Symphony. Picnics, blankets, and chairs (on west side of general admission lawn, no higher than 9” from the ground) welcome.  Gates open at 5:30 p.m.


7-10 p.m. @ DeJoria Center’s State Road Tavern

Belt out your favorite tunes with high energy karaoke courtesy of Bronco entertainment, and no cover charge. 21+

Saturday Morning Nature Walk

8:30–10 a.m. @ Swaner EcoCenter

Discover the Swaner Preserve with a guided nature tour, navigating the wetlands while learning about the diverse plant and animal species found in its grasses and waters.  Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of birds, elk, and perhaps a nesting sandhill crane. Free for Swaner members; fee for non-members.

Drive in Movie: Storm Boy

 7–11 p.m. @ 1920 Prospector Avenue, Lot K

Park City Film partners with Basin Recreation and Prospector Square Property Owners Association to present the 4th Annual Drive-In Movie with “Storm Boy,” the timeless story of an unusual and enduring friendship between a young boy and his adopted orphaned pelican.  Lot K opens at 7 p.m. with live music from Snyderville Station.  Film starts at dusk.  Tickets for walk-ups, bike-ups, cars, and front row cars are available from $9-$30.

Indigo Girls with the Utah Symphony

7:30 p.m. @ Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater

Soak up an iconic performance by the Indigo Girls with the Utah Symphony.  Picnics, blankets, and chairs (on west side of general admission lawn, no higher than 9” from the ground) welcome. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Summit County Fair is a must-experience this weekend, particularly Saturday's PRCA rodeo.

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals

7 p.m. @ Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater

Deer Valley Concert Series presents award-winning singer songwriter Ben Harper in the mountains of Deer Valley.  Picnics, blankets, and chairs (on west side of general admission lawn, no higher than 9” from the ground) welcome.  Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

7-10 p.m. @ The Spur Bar & Grill

Patrick Ryan covers old favorites and new, bringing a great time to every performance. 21+

Utah Olympic Park Summer Attractions

From learning about the Utah Olympic Park’s unique sporting heritage in the free museum to taking a ride-of-a-lifetime on the summer bobsled experience, Utah Olympic Park offers activities for all. The park’s summer experiences include the extreme zip line, zip line tour, alpine slide, drop tower, adventure courses and scenic chairlift rides. Hours 10 a.m.–6 p.m. daily. The Flying Ace All-Star Freestyle shows start June 22.

Park City Mountain Summer Activities 

Check out a variety of adventures for guests of virtually any age. Hold on for the drops and turns of the alpine coaster, discover the mountain’s hiking and biking trails, or watch your family reach new heights in the Adventure Park. Golf is in full swing at the Canyons, too.

Deer Valley Resort

Scenic chair lift rides and lift-serviced hiking and mountain biking, afternoon e-bike tours, live music and delectable dining. 

Park City Museum 

Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m.; Sunday, noon–6 @ Park City Museum

Explore Park City’s rich mining history through interactive and educational exhibits that take you into a mine shaft and old-time jail. Children can complete a “Park City History Detectives” activity, digging deeper into the past.
