Saturday Morning Snowshoe Tour

The Swaner Preserve wetlands are magical this time of year. Explore with a guide, discovering the flora and fauna of the winter season. Lucky hikers may see an abundance of birds, elk, or even nesting sandhill cranes. Come prepared for the elements with winter boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, coat, and water bottle. Snowshoes can be rented from the EcoCenter: $2.50 for members, $5 for non-members. Upcoming out-of-the-park happening: Women of Vision Conference March 20–22. A cohort of local women leaders is taking action in the greater Salt Lake City community to unite women and encourage their voices to be heard at the first Women of Vision Conference March 20–22 at the Adobe campus in Lehi. The seminar includes daily meditation, participation in an art collective, small group breakout sessions and speakers sharing their inspirational stories. Speakers in 2020 Women of Vision include women from Black Social Change Utah; Dr. Nalini Nadkarni, Biology Professor at the University of Utah; Tessa Arneson, the creator of the Maven District; and Kathleen Noble, the first female rower for the Ugandan Olympic Rowing Team.
