Ballet West’s 5th Annual Spring Soirée broke the organization’s fundraising records, raising more than $480,000 to support The Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy, and helping to provide scholarships and financial aid for aspiring young dancers. The spectacular, sold-out evening featured dinner on the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre stage with live performances by company and academy dancers mere inches from diners.
Allison Holker, a Utah native known for her appearances on So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars, served as the emcee for the evening. Holker was joined by Ballet West Artistic Director Adam Sklute, Spring Soirée chair Kimberly Heglar, and co-chairs J. Chase Dreyfous, Jr., Samantha Gellert, Bronwyn Newport, and David Parkinson, along with committee members Molly Cooper Jones, Helle LeRette, Athelia Woolley LeSueur, Mara Mazdzer, and Katie Tozer.
The evening was made possible with generous support from event sponsors including Clyde Companies, Marc and Cammy Fuller, Fuse Weddings & Events, Scott and Jennifer Huntsman, Frederick Q. Lawson, Montage International, Morgan Stanley, OC Tanner, Shar and David Quinney, Skylark Productions, Twelve30 Creative, and others, in addition to the Soirée chair, co-chairs, and committee members.
