7th Annual Salt Lake Climbing Festival
 

7 a.m.–10 p.m. (or overnight camping) on Saturday; 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Sunday

Join area climbers for a weekend of learning, community, and camping under the stars. Local guide outfitter companies offer two-day and single-day climbing clinics in the Cottonwood Canyons, with home base at the Millicent Chalet at Brighton. All experience and skill levels welcome, especially beginners. $150 Full Weekend, $90 Single Day, $30 Saturday Night Only. National Ability Center’s Summit Challenge

Join riders of all abilities in a fun race for a great cause as cyclists of all abilities help raise funds for the National Ability Center’s programs and activities. The race's routes meander through the scenic mountains and valleys of Summit and Wasatch counties, with courses varying from 16 to 100 miles. Saturday Morning Nature Walk

8:30–10 a.m. @ Swaner EcoCenter

Discover the Swaner Preserve with a guided nature tour, navigating the wetlands while learning about the diverse plant and animal species found in its grasses and waters.  Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of birds, elk, and perhaps a nesting sandhill crane.  $10 per person, $5 locals, free for Swaner members. swanerecocenter.org

1520 Arts Hip Hop is just one of the diverse groups performing as part of the Art on the Trail event this Saturday, where the pop-up entertainment ranges from bluegrass to ballet.

Experience nature and art while enjoying pop-up, creative performances on Park City’s beautiful McCleod Creek Trail (along the stretch of trail between Copper Moose Farm and Temple Har Shalom). Avian Adventures 3

Participate in the third of four birding adventures on the Swaner Preserve.  Legendary Utah Birder Kenny Frisch guides this early morning tour to view and identify local and migratory birds on the preserve.  Wear comfortable shoes or boots that can get wet, and be prepared for uneven ground.  Registration required.  $20 for non-members, $10 for members. swanerecocenter.org

Walk A Mile in Her Shoes
