June marks the beginning of summer events in Park City, a warm-weather playlist spanning food, arts, music, and sporting events, to name just a few. Here's a few highlights to fill up your weekend, June 2-4.

1. Catch a Family Friendly Play: Beauty and the Beast 

The Egyptian Theatre on Main Street invites you to be their guest for a special presentation by Ziegfeld Theatre of Beauty and the Beast. This tale as old as time is sure to delight and entertain, filled with songs from the animated film, is sure to delight patrons of all ages. The show runs June 1 through June 4th; tickets range from $24 for adults and $19 for kids 12 and under, up to $40 individual cabaret tickets. 

2. Wrangle Up the Family for the National Ability Center's Annual Barn Party

On Saturday June 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. the National Ability Center hosts an evening full of family-friendly activities at their Equestrian Center with their annual Barn Party. Sport your best western attire while you dig into delicious BBQ food and step to live music. All proceeds go to help the NAC continue their programming. Nothing's better than a day of fun for a good cause! Tickets are $55 for adults, $25 for youth, and children 5 and under are free. Family packages are $150 for 2 adults and 3 youth.

3. Lincoln Highway Concert at the Homestead Resort

We know you've been longing for warm summer nights and live music. The first chords will be strummed at the Homestead Resort in Midway when Lincoln Highway takes the stage. Grab your blanket, picnic basket , and friends and come enjoy a medley of Celtic, bluegrass, and folk style music. There will be BBQ food along with other snacks available for purchase at the event. The event is the first of a series of free concerts at Homestead; you can join them every Saturday at 7 p.m. through September 16.

4. Screening of Norman

Park City Library will screen the American indie film Norman from June 2 to 4 as part of the monthly offerings from Park City Film Series. Set in New York City, the film follows Richard Gere as Norman Oppenheimer, a fascinating character, constantly dreaming up financial schemes that fall flat. Tickets for Norman are $8 for general admission, $7 for students and seniors. You can also purchase a 10-pass punch from parkcityfilmseries.com for $65 that you can use for this and future screenings.

5. Get Silly at Our Favorite Sunday Market 

One of Park City’s most beloved traditional events and tell-tale sign of summer's return happens June 4 when the Park Silly Sunday Market reopens for the season. As always, you catch the market on historic Main Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday rain or shine. Stop by the open-air market to take a peak at what vendors are offering or grab your first Bloody Mary of the season. The event is family and dog friendly. There are also volunteer opportunities that can be found at the Park Silly website.
