Owner of Blue Sky and developer Mike Phillips broke ground on The Lodge at Blue Sky, a luxury resort slated to open its doors in 2018.

After years of planning and scouring for the best hospitality management company, developers finally broke ground on a new luxury resort just 25 minutes outside of Park City in Wanship, Utah. Situated between the scenic Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, The Lodge at Blue Sky aims to offer guests "Luxury with Wild Abandon." With that in mind, the resort will comprise 46 rooms and suites ranging from an intimate, yet airy, 600 square feet to 2,500 square feet of unparalleled luxury. Thanks to the 3,500 acres of open land, future visitors will be able to choose from a myriad of outdoor pursuits from horseback riding, working cattle, fly fishing, championship-caliber shooting clays, biking, and cross-country skiing. After a long day of play, they can then partake in inspired cuisine and reach ultimate relaxation at the spa. The Lodge at Blue Sky is slated to be complete summer of 2018.

The Lodge at Blue Sky is the result of a collaboration between the property's owner and local developer Mike Phillips, the driving force behind the hospitality and recreational paradise that is Blue Sky, Utah, and Auberge Resorts Collection, owner and operator of award-winning small luxury resorts, residences, and clubs. “I’m delighted to partner with such a trusted luxury hospitality brand and one that exemplifies my vision for Blue Sky,” said Phillips. “Auberge’s understanding of how to create one-of-a-kind experiences and highly personalized service for guests will add a new dimension to Blue Sky and bring something entirely new to this spectacular destination.” Developers hope to the resort will allow guests to have the same kind of transformative experiences in nature that they've been able to have in this area.

In addition to the fantastic alpine skiing in the neighboring mountains, Blue Sky is also home to the famed High West Distillery and winner of the 2016 “Distillery of the Year” by Whiskey Advocate, Blixt & Co’s Lars Magnusson-design sporting clays course, and an equestrian program enhanced by non-profit Saving Gracie Horse Rescue. Construction of The Lodge will make Blue Sky and even more ideal venue for celebrations, corporate groups, or individuals looking to experience the West in a unique ranch setting, sheltered by tall mountains and natural beauty.
