February is here and love is in the air. What could be more romantic than snuggling up by the fire with your honey, snow quietly falling on the mountains outside your window? Not much, in our opinion. But Park City offers a whole lot more than just the perfect romantic atmosphere. Here you'll find a plethora of activities for two. If you're looking to show your Valentine just how much they mean to you with a day full of amor, here's a few of our suggestions of what Park City has to offer.
Hot Air Balloon Ride
Kick off your romantic weekend with a sunrise hot air balloon ride. Soar thousands of feet above the pristine snow-capped mountains while sipping champagne with your Valentine. Don't worry about getting chilly, the burner (the propane flame used to keep the balloon afloat) keeps things nice and cozy. Winter is one of the best times to go hot air ballooning and it won't be an experience you forget any time soon. *Find out more about hot air ballooning by contacting Park City Balloon Adventures or Skywalker Balloon Company.
Let all your cares melt away as you and your partner, indulge with a relaxing massage at one of Park City's spas. The St. Regis Deer Valley's Remède Spa offers a couples treatment room with two private spa suites that open onto a spacious patio with a cascading waterfall. Or you can unwind and the spa sanctuary at the Montage Deer Valley with their exclusive couples packages, including the "Escape to Serenity," a 180 minute experience in the signature Serenity Couples Suite, floating massage techniques, a scalp treatment, lunch from the spa menu, and more.
Lunch at the Lookout Cabin
If you're couples weekend includes on mountain time for a bit of skiing or snowboarding, then you won't want to miss out on lunch at the Lookout Cabin, located on Park City Mountain Resort's Canyons Village side. Open only during the winter, this restaurant (accessible just off the mid-station of the Orange Bubble Express) features incredible views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountains and a menu full of hearty gourmet options as well as a full-service bar.
Whether or not you've spent the day out on the slopes at Deer Valley, you should still get in on the at the après scene. Picture yourself enjoying a decadent and delicious pot of melted cheese at the Goldener Hirsch Inn's (located at Silver Lake Village) intimate dining room against the backdrop of a blazing fire and sipping on drinks.
Dinner at Wahso
You'll find dining options galore and culinary delights all over Park City which can make it difficult to narrow down the options. If you're looking for an intimate evening with your partner, Wahso is an excellent option. Featuring a fusion of Asian and French cuisines and an art deco interior, this locale also has private booths perfect for couples looking for a bit of seclusion.
Sleigh Ride for Two
End your day with a romantic sleigh ride for two. There's a number of companies in and close to town offering sleigh ride experiences with a variety of amenities and dinner options. While there's wonderful options for a horse drawn ride underneath the resort mountains, if you opt for an option out of town, you'll escape the city lights enough to take your ride underneath shimmering starlight.
In celebration of the month of love, Park City Magazine is doing a Valentine's Day sweepstakes. More info here. Happy Valentines Day!
