Wine. Vin. Vino. However you refer to it, nearly all of us love drinking it. But have you ever stopped to wonder what it would actually be like to make wine? On Thursday, February 15th at 7 p.m., you'll have your chance to do both when the Park City Film Series presents a special pairing: a screening of the documentary film Decanted and a wine tasting with Reynolds Family Winery & Italics Winery

Decanted delves into the trials and tribulations of winemaking in California's small, but renowned Napa Valley. Elite winemakers share their knowledge and passion for the beverage, from cultivating grapevines through the fermentation process, and the infinite ways to make a wine. Every year brings new challenges and changes, making every vintage completely unique. While location, climate, elevation, etc. all play a major part in the winemaking process, it take the right person to ensure the grapes are planted, watered, picked, selected, and fermented in the perfect way. 

Ahead of the film screening (6 p.m.), the audience will be treated to a wine tasting with Steve Reynolds and a carefully curated selection of wine from Italics and Reynolds Family Winery. This is your chance to pick the brain of a winemaker and find out more about what it takes to make an excellent bottle. Reynolds is a tour-de-force when it comes to winemaking; he carefully orchestrates every last detail at the winery. In addition, the Decanted director Nick Kovacic will be in the house for a Q&A session after the screening. 

Tickets for the screening of Decanted are $35/person (21 and over only) include 3 glasses of wine and are available for purchase on the Park City Film Series website. All ticket proceeds benefit the National Ability Center -- something we can all raise our glasses to! Cheers!
