While we generally reserve this place for gastro-specific picks from our office staff, this time around we decided to ask our Facebook followers, what’s your favorite first meal of the day in Park City?
Far and away, the most frequent response we received was for No Worries Café and Grill (8178 Gorgoza Pines Rd, 435.200.8302). Dishes our followers called out there included, not surprisingly, any of the eight variations on eggs Benedict served there; biscuits and gravy; and as one follower eloquently put it, “a whole plate of the chipotle bacon, nothing else.” Editor's Note: No Worries Cafe has closed until further notice; as of February 16, 2018, Breakfast at Dana's has opened in No Worries' shared space at Gorgoza Pines Road.
Others lauded in our very informal poll included the pulled pork Benedict at Five5eeds (1600 Snow Creek Dr, 435.901.8242), which one follower commented was “the best I’ve had in my life;” the anything bagel with smokin’ salmon cream cheese from Wasatch Bagel & Grill (1300 Snow Creek Dr, 435.645.7778); and the Deer Valley Grocery Café’s (1375 Deer Valley Dr, 435.615.2400) Southwestern breakfast wrap.
A shout-out that made us feel a bit nostalgic was for the solid and affordable breakfast (lunch and dinner) fare served at the Main Street Deli (525 Main St, 435.649.1110). Mark and Barb Lindbloom opened this no-nonsense eatery in 1977 (the same year this magazine was launched) and have run it ever since. In October 2017, the couple announced their retirement and put the deli on the market. A deal was yet to be made as of press time, but we hope the new owners carry on the Main Street Deli’s tradition of serving real food to real people for years to come. Editor's Note: The new Main Street Deli, now owned by Grace McGowan and Katie Babcock is open, serving breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily.
