Organic, non-GMO, hyperlocal, grass-fed, and Salmon-Safe. This now-common supermarket nomenclature can make anyone feel like they need a biology degree just to walk through the produce section. And, gasp, are you really going to buy those soil-stripping, native-exploiting bananas?

Thankfully, there is a place to get wholesome foodstuffs without coming armed with an encyclopedia. A bounty of farmers markets and stands operate in and around Park City all summer long, representing the beating heart of the Wasatch Back’s cozy agricultural community. Rather than hitting the big box store, head to one of the markets or stands listed here to shed the midweek grind, catch up with neighbors, and, oh yeah, get something to eat for dinner.
