Slow Food

Park City has recently started a chapter of the global organization Slow Food, which encourages members to buy locally grown and produced foods and helps to make them easily available to consumers. The group sponsors activities throughout the year, such as the potluck supper at Copper Moose Farm in August. (facebook.com/slowfoodpc or slowfoodusa.org)

Luxury Rewarded

Readers of Condé Nast Traveler named The Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge the no. 1 resort spa in the continental United States. It received a whopping 98.8 rating, noting its superior staff and treatments unique to our mountain environment and diverse outdoor activities (try the Hiker Boot Relief or Great Salt Stone therapy). Cocktail Queen

The staff from the Deer Valley Grocery~Café won this year’s Park City Cocktail Contest with its delightful concoction, the Flower & Pine. The drink will be Park City’s “Signature Cocktail” for spring and summer 2012. The Flower & Pine blends Beefeater gin, St. Germain liqueur, Zirbenz Stone Pine liqueur and Peychaud’s bitters. Find it on local restaurant menus this summer. (parkcityrestaurants.com)
